Vimmein pääsin kunnon saunaan*... It turned out that Lake Wahington is the dividing line between two fractions among the Seattle Finns: in fashionable Bellevue on the eastern side of the lake there are the wealthy Microsoft Finns, and on the other side of the lake you would find the freaked out Kantele Finns. These two categories don't interact with each other, but the Finlandia Foundation tries to mediate between them, for instance by arranging joint sauna sessions.
Anyway,The heat was on all through the evening. Afterwords, we even watched a Finnish movie. The food was Finnish. The beer was not, but decent enough. I went to bed at 3 am.
* as a result of divine intervention, I was finally granted a few hours of relaxation in a genuinely Finnish sauna....
